FHS staff and students take part in tree planting exercise

Faculty of Health Sciences organized a tree planting day on 31st May, 2023 at the Kenyatta National Hospital Campus.

Various departments took part in the activity that was led by the acting Dean, Prof. Eunice Cheserem.

Prof. Cheserem emphasized on the need to plant more trees to save the planet.

COMMISSIONING OF MENTICE SIMULATOR

Today the 14 th February 2023, the Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof George Osanjo,
commissioned IR Mentice Simulator machine donated by our partners RAD-AID International. The
equipment is probably the first in Africa and estimated at Ksh. 50 million.
The Mentice simulator is a skills lab for training of Interventional Radiology (IR) fellows. It can
simulate vascular work in any part of the body. This will offer a great opportunity for our fellows

Dr Wanda Dulcie a year 4 Radiation Oncology resident from the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Medicine presents a poster at the ASCO conference in San Francisco. Dr Wanda then proceeded to Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota for 2 week observership in Radiation Oncology.
