Handing over of Affiniti 70 Phillips ultrasound to KNH Interventional Radiology Clinic

Interventional Radiology Clinic at Kenyatta National Hospital received an Affiniti 70 Phillips ultrasound machine from the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Medicine.

The event was presided over by the University of Nairobi acting Chief Operations Officer Mr. Brian Ouma, Dean Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. George Osanjo among other officials from both UoN and KNH.

UON and KNH IR team gets teaching materials from RAD-AID led by Prof Dixon and Dr Anton. Their tremendous support after  PACS installation is  a boost to the IR training at University of Nairobi. Trained fellows are making a big impact in patient care. Really grateful to RAD-AID.

RAD-AID team visits DIRM-led by Dr Kevin Anton

RAD-AID team visit DIRM, led by Dr Kevin Anton. This comes at the culmination of PACS system in KNH Radiology and DIRM, donated by the RAD-AID team. The installation led by Medweb and RAD-AID has progressed well. The current  team shall have sessions with fellows and residents which usually boosts their learning experience. We are grateful for the RAD-AID support that has made our IR program grow in leaps and pounds .

The RAD-AID team led by DR Jessie Stewart and Dr Onyambu and Dr Kimani from DIRM paid a courtesy call on the Dean to discuss further collaboration with  for the advancement of the IR program. The Dean underscored his appreciation of the positive input of RAD-AID into the training of IR fellows.

and 8 hand-held probes and some stands. Dr. Onyambu, Dr Mwango, and Dr. Kimani were at hand to receive the donations. The RAD-AID team of Diana Dowdy, Jyotsna Vitale, and Dr. Stewart facilitated this. This is a very significant donation from RAD-AID our strategic partners and will go a long way to supporting the IR fellowship and resident training.

A big thank you to RAD-AID International for the continued support for the IR fellowship program through the University of Nairobi at Kenyatta National hospital.

A big thank you to RAD-AID International for the continued support for the IR fellowship program through the University of Nairobi at Kenyatta National hospital. We received Lumify ultrasound machines to aid in ultrasound guided interventions at the hospital and especially for bedside work. This will go along way in increasing the number of patients we can serve at any one time.
