Radiation Oncology

Radiation Oncology ( also known as Radiotherapy) is the branch of medicine that uses ionizing radiation, either in combination with other treatment modalities or alone, for the treatment of patients with benign or malignant diseases. It includes the diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and supportive/palliative care of the patient, and forms an integral part of the multidisciplinary management and investigations of patients.

There are two radiation oncologists who are full time staff members in DIRM.
